VOLUNTEER

Ages 16 and up

Our volunteers are truly the heart and soul of the SPCA of Northeastern North Carolina. Our Adult Volunteer Program is designed to be both inclusive and flexible, ensuring your dedication and time with us are fulfilling and impactful!

If you're under 16, a parent or guardian must accompany you at all times.

Our volunteers have a variety of responsibilities to choose from, including:

  • Walking dogs

  • Socializing animals

  • Clerical assistance

  • Customer service

  • Cleaning assistance

  • Animal transportation to and from the shelter

  • Assisting with adoption or fundraising events

  • Photography

  • And much more!

To get started, please complete the Volunteer Application, read our Handbook, and sign the Volunteer Agreement before your visit. Remember to bring the signed paperwork with you.
