Ages 16 and up.
Our adult volunteers are the backbone of our organization.
Our Adult Volunteer Program is very vast and flexible as we want you to be extremely fulfilled while you dedicate your time to our organization!
Volunteers are able to assist with clerical and customer service tasks; provide adoption counseling to new adopters; provide assistance with animal cleaning & socialization; provide home-based foster care; work with children and animals through our humane education program; visit residents at nursing homes through our pet therapy program; provide transportation for our animals to-and-from the shelter; volunteer at our adoption events; attend special fundraising and awareness events; join our photography team and more!
Ages 13 to 15.
Junior volunteers assist kennel and cattery staff in the day-to-day operations of the shelter. Cleaning and other support activities are a major part of the junior volunteers’ duties.
Please note that NEW Junior Volunteers handle animals infrequently. With time and experience, JVs are able to help more with direct animal care. There is very little "playtime."
